We deliver exceptional legal counsel tailored to your business needs. Whether you require ongoing, fractional in-house counsel coverage with increased institutional knowledge to help scale your team, or specialized legal expertise typically found only in large law firms for a specific transaction, we provide flexible support to meet you where you are.

Founder Chris Koa launched the firm after more than 20 years of legal experience in both in-house counsel roles at Fortune 500 companies including Microsoft, Dell, BP and Prudential, and AmLaw 100 law firms including Wilson Sonsini and Dorsey & Whitney, where he focused on advising startups as well as small and medium sized businesses.

Between legal roles, Chris also gained business-side experience in business development, consulting and financial services experience as an investment banker and legal technologies consultant with WR Hambrecht and Marsh McLennan.

Chris earned his JD from New York University (NYU) School of Law, an MPA from Princeton University and a BA in English Literature from Carleton College. He clerked for The Honorable Edward J. Schwartz (United States Federal District Court for the Southern District of California) in San Diego, CA, following his graduation from NYU School of Law.

Chris currently teaches Privacy Law, Mergers & Acquisitions, and Securities at Seattle University Law School.

Chris is a member of the Washington, California, and Texas bars. He holds three Privacy certifications including Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP) for the U.S., Europe, and Canada.

Outside of work, Chris enjoys listening to live music, discovering authentic family-run restaurants, and exploring with his wife and son.
